As a student the CD-ROM puts you firmly in charge of getting your Level 3 Key Skills qualifications using 6 interactive sections:

• Advice Tells you all you need to know about Key Skills. What is expected? Key Skills and Jobs. Key Skills and Higher Education. How the Trainer program helps?
  
  
• Registration Record basic information about yourself: name, school or college, and the subjects and key skills you are taking.
  
  
• Self-assessment Work through a check list of the 6 Key Skills to find out what you can do already and what you need to learn. Detailed information is given on each skill.
  
  
• Portfolio building This is where you get advice on suitable portfolio work based on the subjects they are taking. The suggestions can be printed off as a basis for discussions with your subject teachers.
  
  
• Record keeper This section is used to keep track of your progress. As well as progress on portfolio work, you can record their external test results.
  
  
• Progress Report The Trainer program lets you print out regular progress reports for you and for your teacher.
